I hava a 79 cutom that im changing the pups in. Will the taller pickup rings form the historics fit with no problem?

Depends on the neck angle and amout of "belly" on the top-carve. If yer current setup has the bridge PU stickin' WAY up outta the ring, they should work.

I would think the tall rings would work but if you want black, then you gotta get DiMarzio's. Only ones I could find that weren't really expensive.
