• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

So, I finally made my way down to the shop where I used to work to show the guys my Les Pauls all tricked out, especially the new inlays I installed. My Boss said he'd bring down his '57 to show me, since I never got to see it when I worked there.
So, he was nice enough to bring both his '56 and '57 in.

He asked me not to post pics, I begged pretty please, and he said ok. However These guitars are from his personal collection, not for sale, and he asked me to stress that, as he's not in the mood to be dealing with phone calls.
He was nice enough to show me them, and as a result we get guitar porn, at least we can respect that. So thanks in advance for not asking, who, what, when, where, or how much.

AND, if my R7 bleeds into a few pics, don't wine, I figured these pics belong here more then in the Historic district.

AND, if a handsome dude happens to pop up in a few pics, again, it happens.

And, finally, I had a hard time with A) space, and B) POOR lighting, so I was happy I took a couple lenses and made the best of the situation.

ENJOY.

I'm still buzzing. After the doors closed for the night, we plugged 'em in and started a/b'ing. And I'm pretty happy to say that my Historics held their own, all things considered.

Thanks for the kind words.

I would have liked it if I didin't have to use such fast settings on the camera. Granted some of the shots look really nice, with the depth of field, but thats mainly sue to me having to stop down the lens so as to eliminate shake. The by product is a greater depth of field. I tried using flash and that looked like crap on my mini lcd, so i decided on shooting a higher ISO and an f2.6'ish (a little more noise but resized at the sizes above it's hard to tell).
