Switching from black to cream pickguard, pickup rings, and switch washer

Hey all, I have an LP Custom reissue with black pickguard, pickup rings, and a switch washer. I'm thinking about buying cream versions of all 3 to switch out. My hardware, including the pickup covers, bridge, tailpiece, is all gold. Most of the time, cream pickguards and the like seem to be paired with nickel hardware. Can anybody comment on how cream looks with gold hardware? Anybody have any pics? Seems sort of tough to find online.

    Thanks.

Along with thousands of other LP Custom owners I did this in the late 70's & early 80's when Gibson replacement plastic & hardware became available. Also, it looked pretty cool when Frampton did it to his. I soon tired of it, but kept the gold speed knobs on for many years. Give it a try - why not!
