Would a recent production pickup from Gibson look like this

The soldering globs on the back look more messy to me than I've seen in other recent pickups. Is this an obvious cover replacement?

I'd say yes, most probably is a cover added and soldered by a fairly low-skilled amateur.

Having said that, I've personally seen even worse examples of soldering on Gibson p'ups in the past so...
