• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

ok

I've got an Ampeg solid state PA head that was given to me in brand new condition by a friend who's uncle owned a furniture store that had gone out of business years earlier.......they used to sell Magnavox, and Ampeg...Epiphone , etc.....through such outlets in the US......now that you guys have FORCED me to think about it, this amp has been around here 20 years or more and has served as a bass head, monitor head...etc for all those years........................costs.........$0................
now that's bang fer the buck......................................

others in the stable:

Peavey Classic 50 ....1x15" combo
Peavey Classic 30....1x12" combo
Music Man 65 watt- 2x 10" combo
Laney 100watt head.....
Peavey Encore...65w...1x12........

damn, I hate Peaveys..........:)spin :)spin :)spin

and if I get up and go look, I'll just find other stuff gathering dust..........
:)spin :)spin :)spin

1) Marshall JCM 800 2203 with a 4x12 1960A cab. (4 - 75 watt celestions) sometimes used with a Mesa Boogie Thiele 1x12 with an EVM 200 watt speaker.

2) Marshall MG10CD - great little practice amp.

3) Boss GT-6, sometimes combined with 2 - Yamaha 400 watt Bi-Amped MS400 power speakers.

4) Smokey Amp - filtered camel variety and powered by a 9 volt battery. Also sounds funky through the 4x12 or 1x12, but only for about a 1/2 an hour. :)

sorry, what else were you saying?

I like the 1x15 for guitar. I see you do as well.

Actually my buddy's Peavey Blues Classic was what got me thinking about the Bassman/1x15.

Sounds pretty good with the Weber Ceramic 15.

damn sickboy.....that's a "sick" list! way to go!

Here's mine:

'68 Pro Reverb
'79 Marshall JMP 50
Peavey Classic 50
Fender Blues Deluxe
Laney 30 watt solid state thingy

Love 'em all! The Peavey actually might be my deserted island amp due to it's versatility.

Other amps I've owned....a few I wish I had back.

Alessandro 20 watt Boxer
Alessandro 40 watt Rottweiler
'73 Fender Deluxe Reverb
Rivera Rake 55 watt head
Carvin Vintage Club 30
Music Man HD130 head

Gee I almost hate to do this knowing what's coming soon....

2001 THD Univalve
1985 JCM-800 2210
2002 Vox AD120VT Valvetronix
1998 Boogie DC-3 short head
1998 Boogie DC series 2-12 cab
1980's Marshall 2-12 cab (size of a 1960B)

If anybody has an idea what the Marshall cab might be, let me know. It's full 1960 size but factory stocked as a 2-12. It is a B cab but has glides, not caster cups, and the speakers are not offset but centered vertically. The Marshall board had a few guys that had seen the identical cabs, but no one has been able to offer a model number or explanation of why a B has glides on it.

How do you like the 68 Pro? Is it the same circuit as a BF?

mine's pared down a bit:

'62 narrow panel tweed champ
'74 SF Princeton Reverb (owned since new)
~'70 Musicmaster bass amp with removable (floating?) baffle
'72 Musicmaster bass amp with fixed baffle
Roland 405GX with matching extension cabinet
Tech21 Trademark 10

all combos, no heads, one 4x5" extension cab.

could pad the count by including Lexicon signature 284, Pod 2.0, J-Station, but that's stretching the fabric and going off-topic.
