• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Can ADI's DSP chips be used in the design of guitar effects?

Some of the guitar effects that I have seen before use FREESCALE's DSP56364 as the main chip, coupled with external DRAM, and CS4220 to form a complete unit of sound processing. I wonder if anyone knows whether a simpler and more stable similar system can be formed if ADI's DSP processor is used? If you have been in contact, please take a look at it, thank you.
