What pedals and effects of you been using lately?

Mine is an effing embarrassment. We have lots of little spiders here on the Cape; some cat and Shiba Inu hair.
I give it a hit with the vacuum from time to time but I find dust really stands out in a photo.

Cool thread. I'll be getting a new pedal this week in the mail. I'll post about my new board as I currently let go of a lot of pedals in order to get what I'll be playing through now. This is what I'm replacing. Yeah, it's dirty/dusty, but was very good for what I needed. I had a gain stage that was a bit too longer for someone no longer doing touring or sessions, heck or even gigging and teaching.

How do you like the JHS Rotary Chorus?

I'm not in love with it for one reason: the chorus sounds great...but they've implemented it in such a way that there appears to be the slightest bit of reverb (or tiny slap-back-delay?) on it as well. This gives it what I would call a "metallic" sort of quality that I don't dig. This may not bother a lot of folks, but I wish it wasn't there. JHS included a switch called "Room" that makes it even worse, lol.

I mean, really, it's not terrible, it just a bit more than pure chorus...and pure chorus is all I really want.

But it did fit my basic requirement which was for something small, simple and light that can enable me to fake a leslie sound halfway decently.

I found an annoying metal tone on my DD-20 and found it was looking for more current. The stock power cable was wrong and it needed 245mA- I was able to find the right one on EBay but I am sure Amazon would have them now. Voodoo labs makes double cables for pedals that are looking for a higher load.
Something like that anyway. It is surprising Boss doesn’t ship them with the right power cable.

Offshore Angler just posted using his boost after distortion- I have to try that.
I run a way huge overrated special-Analogman Silver mod DS-1- Analogman Chorus (the blue one that's too big)- Neo ventilator (also too big)- Boss DD-20- JHS reverb; I also play thru a 1960 Fender Pro and the harmonic vibrato is very 60's space-age- a season to taste thing. You will recognize it from those bad-stage sci-fi movies. I have a vox wah that comes and goes.
I use a Voodoo lab thing to power it and need to remember to always check to make sure everything is still plugged into it when I move it.

Always boost after overdrive.
It's the secret sauce.
Basically, the only 2 pedals I use...and in that order.

Besides the standards set of overdrives, compressor, and delays, I've been having a blast with three of the Electro Harmonix "9" series of pedals. Mel9, B9, and Synth9.

Here's a demo of the Synth 9. I use the moog solo voice most. real handy for the Cars "Just What I Needed" and Wings "Band on the Run"

Typically the photo needs to be resized smaller.

If you are not familiar with resizing you can just text the photo you want to post to a guitar buddy or your wife. Then download that texted photo. It should be converted to a smaller file size that can then be posted to the LPF.

Origin Effects Revival Drive Custom and accessory 2 button Revival Switch for mid engage and blend override. The Revival Drive is my core tone, while my lead tone usually is from a Origin Effect M-EQ Drive. I also use a Boss RE20 Space Echo pedal that is beat timed to the song that I'm playing. Along with those I use a Ernie Ball volume pedal and Peterson Tuner.

EDIT: I also have a Analog Man Sunface BC108 Fuzz, Dr Scientist Reverb, and Voodoo Labs Tremolo, and Sex Drive, but they all get used on only one song and sometimes not at all. Here's my board and my TopHat Club Deluxe, and partscaster Tele that is one of my main gigging guitars...

Well I removed my new BOSS SY-1 Synth pedal and put back my BOSS BF-3 Flanger and I like it better the second time around .
