Despite using a Kemper playing live exclusively since 2021 I recently picked up a Mesa Boogie Mark V and am switching to a hybrid setup (when they gig permits). I've been a long-term Boogie lover having previously owned Studio & Quad preamps and a Studio 22, I went all in on the Mark V as it has no compromises in terms of shared controls between channels and greater flexibility.

So that's my answer now - the Mesa Boogie Mark V 1x12.

The different channel modes, built-in solo boost, different reverb levels per channel and general versatility means I can gig without any boosts or OD in front of it. The only pedal I'd sneak in is a Keeley Halo in the loop (which I can use the loop switching to bring in and out) but that's a certain sound I use a lot in my band so not something I'd use at a jam or stand-in gig.

It depends on my mood. I'm blessed to have a Carr Rambler, a Victoria Ivy League, and a Victoria Regal II. An embarrassment of riches. Three different voices with the same guitar,. Mix in multiple guitars and all of a sudden everything you plug in to any of them sounds good. I have the Regal II in rotation this week, with a couple vintage grey Philco 6V6 tubes. It gets grainy early.
