Where would you add 10k plate resistors?

Thanks, I already have that 4 way cap on order ($50). These components seem much more expensive in the USA than Switzerland. The potentiometer adapter is $31 vs $14 Swiss franc. I misspoke earlier 10 k grid stopper not plate resistors (they are mounted beneath the screen grid resistors.

Why would you use 10k when Fender use1k5?

As it's been many years since the last Super Champ I revised, I can't remember if I added 1k5 gridstop resistor, but I don't think so. I know that, in addition to changing electrolytic caps, 47 ohms bias feed resistor, adding 470ohms screen grids resistors and bias adjustement trimmer, I added a standby switch and I replaced the direct speaker wiring with an output speaker jack.

I modded one of mine back when I had 3 with and put a jack on the back so I could run it into a better sounding cab. Warren DeMartini did that with his Super Champ, ran it into an Orange 4x12 with EV's for the solos on Ratt's Out of the Cellar album. The stock cab and speaker sounds so boxy.

Honestly, I have been watching too many YouTube videos. I don’t have a technical reason for mentioning 10k grid stopper resistors instead of 1k5. In fact after watching even more videos, I see that you are right in regards to Fender using 1k5 grid stoppers. Did you mount the trimmer pot (using the adapter) internally or did you make it accessible externally?

Considering that one can find this info on any Fender amp schematic, it makes me ask myself if Youtube video are the best place to find infos on guitar tube amps.

As the adpter is intended for mounting the trimmer on the chassis, obviously, I mounted it accessible from the outside. But I advise to mount on the chassis borrom rather than on the amp back pannel to make it less obvious and to avoid, to some extend, that sorcere's apprentice mess with the bias without knowing what they're doing and end up frying power tubes or a transformer.

Touché but I will utilize whatever tools are readily available. I found a clever person on the LPF who gave me ideas that would not appear on a schematic or (especially) incomplete layouts. Thanks again.

I’m shocked you didn’t blow it up running EL37s … can’t just pop random power tubes in. The reason he said 10k was EL34s tend to appreciate them for stability sake. But, yer never gonna get that amp to sound like a marshal.

I mentioned 10k grid stoppers but I was not the one that put in ELs nor am I trying to get it to sound like a Marshall. That was another Modder.
