Memphis '61 335

Looks like there's a slender necked sister model to the new VOS '59 335s that appeared this year. Hard to believe the fatter neck commands a $500 premium!

I guess it's the extra mahogany in the "fat" neck that costs more money.

Oddly the prices of the 61s just jumped from $3460 to $3749.

Note these are maple-poplar-maple in the spec, and the 59 Reissue is all maple laminate in the spec. Lots of debate over this, but it's right there in the specs on the Wildwood site.

I think we can conclude that at least, at present, this is the case. I hope this helps.

I had a 2006 Nashville '59 that looked to be M/P/M (definitely a lighter wood as the middle laminate.) My current '63 Historic ('09) is also M/P/M. I've yet to see a single pic showing a Historic with M/M/M.
