2010 Monster Top...my entry into the top of the year contest!!!
Boys....I just picked up this KILLER 2010 Historic from my buddy Mark at Mark's Guitar Loft. How is it that Mark gets all the great tops?
 Anyway...it's been raining here all day, but we had a 30 minute break of sunshine, so I ran outside and snapped a few quick pics. This thing has Timbucker pickups in it, and sounds better than it looks! 8lbs. 11 oz. of Les Paul goodness!

Some damn fierce flame there! What other mods? I notice that the bridge stud screws look a bit aged/used. Great score, and no surprise it came via Mark.
I've seen maybe a couple in this one's league from 2010, but it's so hard judging one monster top against another - all down to personal taste (a bit like with women!). Anyway, the gauntlet's been well and truly thrown down, I just wish I had a 2010 monster top with which to respond to your challenge. Bring on the competition! |

I took a few more pictures today. What I really love about the looks of this guitar is that usually, there's one "good" side of the guitar, and you always hope it's the "driver's" side. However, this guitar looks killer from both sides. What's so amazing about it is that it looks COMPLETELY different from both sides, but equally cool in my opinion. Let me know what you think.
