Infos about vintage # 9 - 2225 & 9 – 2324?

Well I recently purchased Yasuhiko Iwanade’s “Beauty of the Burst”. Great Book, great pictures, great history. A mine of knowledge.

But when I saw # 9 - 2225 and # 9 – 2324, it flashed my mind: 9 – 2225 has a mapple pattern and figure very similar to the one of my beloved Standard Faded. And 9 – 2324 has a nearly similar color! So my Standard is a nearly perfect reunion (top visually speaking only) of these vintages.

So as I also fell in love with both (not to mention my favorite one…), please has anybody got infos, pics, about these two Burst beauties? How they sound and look? What is their history?
Thanks.

Thanks Keef. I had already visited the site some time ago. And I had forgotten it. Good to go back to it.

I bought 9-2324 from Tony Haselden [of the band Lousiana LeRoux] in 1981, and I nicknamed it Hazel [after Tony's last name].
Nice all around player's Burst!

I thank you Tom for your reply. Sorry for not being too quick to reply too.
So 9-2324 is Hazel! I must be so dummy not to have noticed that...

Is it all original or has it suffered injuries of time and needed replacement parts as for some players?

Made to be played?

I really don't remember the details on that one. It was a Bigsby removed Burst but that should be obvious in the photos.
It has been gone over 20 years and there were bad memories due to a buyer trying to steal it from me.

Bad memories? Indeed. A buyer that one could name "thief".
Good it's back again at home.

OOOHHHH ! 9-0225 is a player! I recently asked for a worn out paul gallery here, and sure this one is played too.

Anyone with news about darkburst 9-2324?

It must be a fake, as the real 9-2324 is not a "darkburst".
[unless you believe Bursts all started as "darkbursts"]

Re: Infos about vintage # 9 - 2225 & 9 – 2324?

I am confused Tom because actually Hazel is really NOT a darkburst!
There was a serial number switching in my question which should have told : " Anyone with news about darkburst 9-2225? "
9-2225 is pictured page 129 of BOTB, and I can't find infos about this beaut anywhere on the web.

Keef, I want to Amsterdam last week. Nice cool city. Lot to learn by it!

But does anybody knows where, when, how, who, why about 9-2225? ?

OK Tom.
Thank you for replying.

So just wait and see if 9 - 2225 is resurfacing one of these days...
