I have to agree. There are a couple of very 'ordinary' looking VOS PGs here in the UK, but most of them are absolutely amazing.

The tone is really good with loads of overtones coming out. I can't wait to hear mine with fresh strings on - I haven't had chance to put any on yet!

Mrs Twinfan is a great artist...you are a lucky man Twinfan to have them both the guitar and the artist.Great Perly from UK land.Congrats.
How much did they charge you in UK for it? My friend in London said that they were very $$$$.
Anyway they are everywhere pricey by now, unless you have some support from above.

I paid £5499 at a dealer called Coda Music. Yes, a lot of $$$. I'm very lucky that I could juggle some finances and stretch myself to buy it. After seeing it, I just HAD to have it. She's a real looker, don't you think?

Man this is worth every penny.I saw one on eBay that got sold for almost 10K
also a VOS. So enjoy this baby I am sure she is a Monster.Does Coda have any PG left?

They sounded very similar, hard to say on dead strings.

Someone turned mine down - said it was too flamey! - and bought a plain one??????

well, i sometimes like more subdued flame too but yours has a much more Pearly vibe going for it - which i would think you would want on the signature model??

I like it Twinfan.Yours is more flamy and looks wild but there is lot of chem in the subtle flame of the second one.Do you know the weight of the remaining PG's.I am big fan of the Perly and besides owning 2 of them a third will be welcome...is this is the last available in UK?

Signed/Aged #18 is for sale below the MAP...although its top isn't very Pearly-like...

Great picture!!

I have to say that I feel the same way about mine... #061 I still can't get over the top carve either. This really shows how nice and flat the deck is and the more dramatic fall off toward the switch. And the tone of these pups through an old Marshall is really killer too! Mine just has the bald spot on the wrong side!

They probably should have made one lefty version with this wood!

I have to agree with Gaston and DoubleBoogie - My BG058 is the best of my best in tone, weight, feel (although I just installed a pair of Throbaks in my 2004 StanleyBurst and that neck P/U is just unbelievable). I love this guitar through my JTM45 - it is the Killer combination. I will be taking this guitar to my grave...

These things are seemingly becoming much harder to find - at least in the areas that I visit here in Canada.

Not to worry though, I've had my eye on this one for a short time now. At least whilst I was figuring out a way to come up with the readies.

At last it is now my very own. No additional wear and tear or rough edges. No Billy signature (- too bad, that would have been nice!). Just a damn nice guitar.

I actually love this thing. It has a certain presence.

Last night an old guy (me) went to bed with a very 'happy tummy', - well that's how my grandkids describe THAT feeling.

Allow me to proudly introduce my VOS edition of 'Pearly Gates' - number BG 083.
