Show me your Honey Burst

Here is something I just picked up.
I won't see it for at least a week though. The second picture makes it look like a Desert Burst, but I called Gibson and they confirmed it as a Honey Burst.

Iced tea you drink, Honey can go in tea, so I guess it's okay.

Re: Show me your Honey Burst

Congratulations on the new guitar, 77custom! I hope you enjoy her as much as I enjoy this baby (included in the "Post pics of your #1" thread from a week or two ago).

Now all you have to do is wait for it to arrive! Cheers!

Might be my computer but most of the honeybursts shown look on the dark side to me. This is my 05 standard:

My two Standards, both Honeyburst, though quite different.
Left, Paulina I, 1995. Right, Paulova, 2001.

I call mine a Honey Burst because that is what I was told it was when I bought it. I didn't think it looked like a HB but I haven't found anything closer in the Gibson burst examples.

The two pictures I have above are in fact the same guitar in two different light sources.

Re: Show me your Honey Burst

There is a fair amount of variation over the years. 77Custom, I'm gonna guess your HB is fairly new since it's in the white case. What year? I have an '08 Standard in HB, this is one of the ones from the first half of the year before they switched to the new one with the PCB, etc.

Honeyburst on left, Iced Tea on right.

Whew! I thought for sure I was going to open this thread to find more pictures of Katy Perry awaiting!

Nice guitars. I'm suprised that so many of them have dark edges.

I think this might just be one of the best looking Les Paul's I've seen. When I finally get around to buying a Standard of my own, this is pretty much the reference photo I would use for the finish and colour I would be looking for. Hardly ever see this colour in the UK, most are waaaaay too red and orange. Or too brown. I guess the best ones stay in the US
