• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

hey!

I am currently recoding the site (shouldn't cause your issue) and in the process I noticed something I hadn't before. Have any of you ever noticed that I abbreviate serial numbers with XXX in it? ( 529xxx, for example). Maybe that caught some sort of porn filter from you ISP? In hindsight, I probably shouldn't have done it that way! haha

If you have a question , just email me at my username here at hotmail. I'll be happy to help.

There shouldn't be any malware on the site, it is so simple that any malicious code would stick out like a sore thumb, and I haven't seen anything. I'll look again.

Preview of new site is below. All new, HTML5 & CSS based code that will scale down to tablets nicely (might do a phone variant later, we'll see). Had to teach myself a whole new way to code, been interesting. Will go live in a few weeks or maybe sooner.

Moonweasel, i like your site very much, but i have found some two small incorrectness on your site. :)

The late 69 and early 70s pancake body Norlins (actually most of later too) had another extra layer of probably maple just under top, so the body was in reality four piece from vertical point of view.

And the lower back part of mahogany could be two piece too, it was rare but i saw some and even had one. :)

Prog,

Thanks for pointing that out, I guess I could clear that up a bit and refer to the later guitars as a 4 layers. Ill think about it for sure, thanks. I do refer to the cross banded layer on a 1pc back as a " '69 style 1pc body" in a few places.
