Thanks!

The Royal Albert is a 50watt, with a 35watt power switch; (It was louder, fuller, and more punchy then my buddies 100watt Marshall Jubilee 800, with 2 4x12 cabs. Mine only with a 2x12 cab. It's all in the transformers (mercury magnetics)

I run it at 35watts, and it's still too loud.
An amazing sounding amp with loads of headroom. Extremely responsive.

It's designed to push the power tubes rather then preamp, so it takes pedals extremely well.

Train nuts will recognize the origin of the name.

Re: Everybody... post your #1

My best sounding humbucker guitar is my 2006 Yamano R7 all mahogany. 1 of 25 made I was told. I upgraded it with some 500K CTS pots and vintage caps. It has my "grail" pups in it. Some very old Wolfe PAF clones with 50's long mags.

Here's a few shots from the previous owner Matte Henderson, and a few shots I took after putting in the double creams. This guitar absolutely ROARS.

Re: Everybody... post your #1

This is my #1 guitar, my 2001 Les Paul Standard in honeyburst.
There's a special story attached to this guitar. I was in a guitar shop one day, just browsing, not particularly looking for anything, and I asked the owner (a friend of mine) if I could try out a few Les Pauls. We set up a Fender Hot Rod Deville and gave them all a try out.
He had a few other Les Pauls in stock, including a Gary Moore signature model (the 2000 - 2001 model), a Black Beauty Custom and a couple of Historics. However, as soon as I plugged this baby in, it absolutely KICKED THE ARSES of all the others!!!!! The tone is like a punch from Tyson, and it is very very sweet, juicy and woody - AMAZING! No guitar had ever said "Take me home" quite like that one did that day!
Unfortunately I was a student at the time and just could not afford it, so I had to put it back and carry on with my faithful old Telecaster. But I couldn't forget that guitar, and started saving...

Well, it was a good 2 or 3 months of penny-pinching before I could (just!) afford it, but eventually I found myself heading back into town, hoping desparately that it hadn't been sold in the meantime. My baby was still hanging there on the wall, and I was the happiest man alive as my friend took the tags off the guitar and put it in it's case for me... I knew that other local guitarists must have had their eyes on it and probably been saving for it too, so I counted myself extremely lucky to have got it, and I still do.

Now I have my beautiful R6, and if I'm honest, that is probably becoming my #1 nowadays, and it is the better guitar. But I will never sell this one - it just makes me smile more than any other guitar I have ever owned!

(Apologies for the bad quality of the photographs.)

Once i zeroed in on one of those, I just put money down and layaway the sucka....then your safe as not to worry about it being sold?

Nonetheless you got lucky there without kicking yourself for not jumping in on it.

Cheers!
