Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!
PRS makes a pretty guitar, and I have spent some time with Paul, nice guy. I really enjoy his passion for his guitars...
That being said, for me, they are "jack of all trades, master of none" type of guitars. That's just my opinion, and after playing tons of them, they have never been able to pry a Gibson or Fender from my hands. Guitars are tools I use to make my music, and PRS doesn't inspire me as much as the others I mention.
I can't believe the utter BS by a few here. I own them all, lesters, strats, tele's, 335's, prs, godin, sg's...on and on. PRS are fine guitars that are simply tools. PRS has come a long way in improving their pups so this crap about them not sounding good is bogus. If they don't sound good it's the PLAYER not the guitar.
Just don't sell your LP. I go through phases where I only want to play my Fenders or my SG then I put them down for a few months. But they're there when I want them again.
