• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Those signature model Epiphone Les Pauls must really drive the price of the collection up.

There are 50 guitars in the collection.
The cost is (gulp) $1,500,000 - Australian.
Let's see...yup, that's an average cost of $30,000 per guitar ($25,800 US).
And yet, I don't see a single instrument in the collection that I think is worth $30K, not even the Pirate SJ-200 which is possibly and simultaneously the most awesome and horrible guitar I have ever seen. (Pirates? really? Pirates play guitar? - well, Captain Jack Sparrow's dad is the exception...)

A modern Epiphone with a five-figure price tag?
By the way, Epiphones make up better than 20% (11/50) of the collection. That means $330,00 (Australian) on Epiphones.

I have a Ph.D. in math and I just don't see how this adds up.
