Did any Epiphones ever have PAF pickups? Just wonderin, never heard anything about it but that doesn't mean it didn't happen...:hmm
Why wouldn't Gibson share the love?

There are Epiphone mini-humbucking pickups with PAF stickers.

True. I think the first Epi with P90's was the Casino round bout 61? And most of the other models went humbuckerish in the seventies. Was just wondering if it was a conscientious decision by Gibson to not put full size humbuckers in Epi's.

Having different humbucker PUP's than Gibson was part of their brand identity. The 1959 Sheraton had mini humbucker PAF's.

Several models came out with P-90s at roughly the same time.

And, it must have been a 'conscientious decision' to use mini's. How else could you explain it? :wah

A few people have done some research & it appears that Sheratons had NY pickups until at least mid-late 1960. :hmm

my '61 Epi Crestwood Custom (super rare with factory stop tailpiece, bikini logo and gold plating) had stickered mini-PAFs as did my '62 and '63 model year Sheraton and two Rivieras!

1949 Epiphone Zephyr Deluxe Regent. Obviously single coil in a double coil form factor. Makes you wonder if Seth saw that and thought, hmmm, what if we put two coils side by side :hmm

Eric Ernest's pickups [shown above] are completely different than those I asked about.
