I may be sleeping on the couch for a while.

I just ordered a 02 r8 washed cherry flame top from Music Machine..Is it true that the the 02's are more accurate than preceding years?

congrats!! I think the 02's had the best flame tops but the '03's are the most accurate to date IMHO

Congratulations. The 02's R8's have the coolest tops. As far as accuracy the only real visible thing is that the corners on the inlays are rounded and the 03's are sharp. There are a bunch of little things too but nothing to say that an 02 is not a great guitar and accurate enough. I own both and like them the same.
