Anyone have an opinion on these? There has been one on sale in chicago for a long time. (about 5 years) It is a beautiful top, like nothing I've seen before, falls into the super top category imo. I think the tag is at 5999 and I know that it is at cost (cuase I worked there for a while). I know murhpy guitars go for more money and have a lot of respect but I have a hard time justifying the money when I know all of the things that are historically inaccurate with the guitar. Again, does anyone have any opinions?

Mark's has a couple for sale, one aged w/ real PAF's, one regular with an amazing top - better looking than anything vintage if you ask me. Historics won't ever be like the old ones tonally because of the old wood. However, many Historics have better looking tops and I'd say the real superbursts will be the most sought after Historics. Just my speculation and yes, I'd grab that one at Mark's if I had $7,500 spare change.
