76 Firebird bridge question

I've been considering installing an abr. The Faber conversion looks good and simple, but would the posts be too long for the thin bird body ?
I could use wood dowels and then have more options for post material.
Or should I just leave the old stock nashville bridge and studs on it ?

Re: 76 Firebird bridge question

Faber conversions are great. Did one in my sg so the firebird should be fine. Calaham has them as well. Faber is about 1/2 the cost. either way is better than stock
