How much is this SG worth?
Hello!
Here's the link: http://edmonton.kijiji.ca/c-buy-and-...AdIdZ353299524 I also have this email from the seller: Yes, the guitar is available. I have found out recently that it is a 1966, not a 1964 as I had previously thought. If you want to come check it out, I'm available before 2pm Monday, or anytime Tues, Wed, Thursday. Your Opinion please: How much should I offer? Besst regards, Brian

Re: How much is this SG worth?
That's not a '66 heel but visually it sure looks like the narrower nut width of a '66. Not too many '66's with a nice dark board. I'd ask for a pic of the control cavity which will tell you for sure whether it's a '66 or not.
Either way, with virtually no original parts and not knowing what's under the paint I'd say $1600 with the narrow nut and $2000 with the wider one. |

Re: How much is this SG worth?
I doubt that he'll give it up that cheaply but you never know.
Trouble is, it doesn't look right for aged Pelham Blue and it doesn't look right for Inverness Green. That kills some of the value too. I'd go to a maximum of $2500 for it, but I have a set of chrome '65 patent number pre T-tops with rings for it. Last edited by loufed52 : 05-15-12 at 01:11 PM. Reason: OCD |
