I didn't take that pic. Mine actually was owned previously by another LPF member....I adore it.

thanks, I am sure he did. Vic contacted me with this one in particular. he knows I love straighter DEEP flame and hate VOS. The flame on this looks like it is 1/2" deep. 8.4 lbs is nice too!

Re: DaPra Bourbon Fade headcount-

I love this finish. Over the years I have been saving pictures of what I thought was the "ideal" burst finish, and now that I look back I see how my preference has changed to something like this Bourbon Fade. I saw this one at Mark's, and without any doubt this one floored me as that all time perfect Les Paul...D@mn!

Sweet JEEESUSSSS!

Who got this one? I hope it was one of "us" here!

Re: DaPra Bourbon Fade headcount-

Vic did pick the tops but I don't believe he was able to keep one for himself. He's currently playing a sweet 2010 R9. Here's my VOS (I hope this works-they block damn near everything at work and I'm stealing links from a previous post)

last time i spoke to Vic he hadn't managed to get one for himself........real shame........he sorts everyone else out first and then there are none left.

Re: DaPra Bourbon Fade headcount-

Well, he certainly did a great job at picking the tops. I wonder if there was ever a group photo of these at the factory?

Re: DaPra Bourbon Fade headcount-

I have one and will attempt a Photo I have been blessed to know Vic for about 15 years, and i consider him a great friend. I put Rolph Pickups on mine with DMC aged covers and otp rings, retrospec guard and poker chip. What a great guitar and I believe they may end up being worth more than gold cert guitars because Vic picked the tops and colors. He based the color on a real Burst that he owns. I will attempt photos but I am sorry I am kind of helpless with these things!!

Re: DaPra Bourbon Fade headcount-

Is there any connection or similarity between the 'DaPra Bourbon Fade' and the 'Brockburst' as seen in the 'BOTB'? I believe the 'Brockburst' is known in certain quarters as a 'Bourbon' fade, having changed ownership, (acquired by Mr DaPra?).

For reasons I am not too clear on, I thought that these finishes might all be the same or similar.

BJM, that is about as close to absolute perfection as it gets. If you ever decide to sell, please keep me in mind.

I'm not trying to hijack the thread, and I'm certainly not trying to sell it at the moment, but with me everything is for sale at some point =)

Feel free to email me anytime

Re: DaPra Bourbon Fade headcount-

Congrats Rotorwheel..this is a fantastic guitar from Vic. Here is another pic of this beauty. Vic called me a couple of months after getting this one, he had a killer Pearly Gates he just got in, and at that point I was in a Pearly Gates frenzy so as bjm007 states, at anytime, everything is for sale at some point. Glad you got this one..
