And in the Solomon baby case, the worst case scenario forces the hand of both women and the honorable woman does the right thing.

In this guitar case, I'm not sure anymore which way it "should" go.

I'd crank it to 11
Not a lot of people wrote out receipts to each other back then when guitars were bought and sold, and not a lot of people do it today either. A big part of the problem for Montrose.

Problem with the Solomon theory is that Gary Moore has had the guitar longer and played it more than Montrose so he would probably love it as much if not more.

Oh great! Now we are going to discuss who loves it more?

While I thought I did, maybe Billy really did love it more. He made efforts to get it, while I made efforts to sell it.
So who loved it more, me or Billy?

Yeah I wonder........ I think it was me! Thanks again for letting me borrow that fine instrument for those jams. If I only had another fiddy dollas that day. Then it would been me on the lamb, trying to out run these two guys and their motorcycles today.

Re: Montrose v Moore - Judgment has Entered

I still think the best solution would be for Ronnie and Gary to cut heads. If some producer does it right, and sets it up in an old school, barrel house, "crossroads" kind of way, it could be an awesome show, and might even be spread out over a few different shows in a few different venues. The winner keeps the guitar, the loser gets the gate and pay-per-view money. Or maybe better yet, the winner gets his choice between the guitar or the money. If they could scrape up somewthing in the neighborhood of a half a million dollars, that would be a pretty dramatic moment.

They both split proceeds from the sales of DVDs, CDs and merchandise.

Oh, and I get 10% for coming up with the idea.

The two of em on Survivor. Ronnie sort of looks like that ruthless guy Richard Hatch who won the first season.

Is Gary still looking like Edith Bunker these days? If that's the case, then he doesn't stand a chance...Ronnie looks tougher.

Montrose's playing of a Strat automatically disqualifies him. Most of Paper Money was a Strat!

Then Gary's use of a pink Strat for most of the '70s and '80s disqualifies him too...

Re: Montrose v Moore - Judgment has Entered

I shared a few emails with Ronnie mid to late 90's. When I asked about him and Dan Hartman switching instruments ( I had seen it on TV years earlier) he reiterated the story of the stolen Les Paul. What I took away from those emails was a guy that was still heartbroken over the loss.

Much respect for Montrose, he was always a fav player of mine-

Ronnie and Dan 'switching"mid tune... Dan on a Strat, Ronnie on bass.

I was pretty harsh with the guy, but this thread has made me come around to much more reasonable stance.

I do think he's pretty funny though. Like Dewey Cox.

It does n't get much funnier than this:

I disagree. The Sex Addicts meeting scene, by itself, was worth the price of admission.
