Keith Richards Tribute Historic

My local Gibson dealer told me that he's gotten word that next year they are planning to announce another Jimmy Page as well as a Keith Richards model. Should be interesting.

I wouldn't mind them doing a Keith Richards 355 actually but I'm sure the historic would be the more popular one.

Re: Keith Richards Tribute Historic

Thankyou for the advance warning, Guitarmandp! I can start saving now!!!
A Keith Richards Historic would be unbelievably cool. I like all of the Les Pauls I have seen him with, and as he was the one who came up with the notion of reliced guitars in the first place I would imagine it is going to look very nice indeed... !

Cheers, my man!

That looks like the wrong style bridge for a '50's Tele... looks like what comes on the cheaper models.

Re: Keith Richards Tribute Historic

I had heard that Gibson was making a Jimi Hendrix Strat. Now they are making a Keith Richards Tele?!?! The world is going to Hell!

Seriously, I don't know much about Teles, but as I understand it Fender could not get Keef to do an endorsement, so they made a guitar just like his but did not use his name in the marketing.

That's a smokin' Tele!

How about his "Painted Custom"?
Hand painted... aged...?

What's up with the Tele picture? They are doing a guitar based on his burst with the bigsby.

Is this for sure? Kind of disappointing if it is. Yet another off the shelf Historic, just with a Bigsby thrown on it that they will over charge for. I would much rather see the hand painted black Custom.

Also, too many strings to be a Keef model...

Really? Can you ask for more details? I hope they would do the '59 LP Custom!

I seem to recall Keith playing an LP with black plastic in the old days. What was that?

Curious, would you be wanting it with his "artwork" on it?
