Even MORE Racquel love - Early-spec controls too
When it rains, it pours - just got this from another happy customer of the Dr.'s:
"Rick, "Love the Raquels. The bridge/neck combo is fantastic sounding - like a huge fat tele, but with many more nuances due to better controls. The bridge has a perfect bite for my taste and cleans up nicely. The neck gives me just the right clean, clear jazz tone that I wanted with a nice smoothness -- defined and not scooped, but not too midrange dominate. If I want to get some honk, I just have to get the tone control and amp to work together and hope my fingers are up to the task. "Also, the wiring harness is superb. The smooth action on the pots is exactly what I wanted. Now I don't have to wait 15 years for my pots to loosen up. The taper is better also and the caps sound great. Your wiring and layout is so good that even though I can solder myself, it was worth the money and saved me some time." Re: Even MORE Racquel love - Early-spec controls too
That would be me Rick. Thanks again.
These are in my 2007 Les Paul Custom Shop George Harrison "Lucy". I play it through either my Marshall Bluesbreaker or my Reeves Custom 18 (which is very Marshally in the 18 watt vein and with the capability to get JCM like high gain). |
