Second is Better?

I have noticed reading all the Burst literature that nearly every famous Burst player (Clapton/Page/Beck/Bloomfield et al) recorded their most famous LP music on a "used" LP. Were these guys smarter than we give them credit for?

Well, the bursts weren't in production at the time. And they were probably broke, not to mention the hotshot players of the time. I am sure they were the first to hear of good guitars that became available.
