I am looking at purchasing my first Les Paul. Tried a few out at the local guitar shop and decided I want a traditional. Found a 2016 Light Burst for sale online that is in my price range. The guy claims he is the original owner and no modifications were done to the guitar.
However I noticed that the guitar has top hat tone knobs(instead of speed knobs). And I also noticed that the pickup selector is an off white almost orange color. He claims that he called Gibson and they said that during manufacturing they will often use different knobs when they run out to keep production going.
Does this seem fishy? Or should I trust him
