started a new thread just to put up these pics and basically answer ren's question from other thread
ren-- I was a little confused when I got mine a year or so ago as there were no directions that seemed to make sense with it. I sent an email to the solo dallas web site and actually Fil Oliveri-- the main dude himself emailed me back.
now, for what its worth, he told me that the one I got was a rare version (as it has the KS rather than the SD on the front) and was like the same one that Angus got. he was kind of gobsmacked and said that even he doesn't have one of the "KS" replica ones. I"m not sure if he was just being nice but I thought that was kind of fun to find out. The back of mine is different than the other ones I"ve seen so I"m not sure what settings I have would apply to yours?

I guess I just have them both around 1 o clock.... I do think it has a similar effect that the OE compressor has -- just brings every thing up and makes it better, makes the guitar come more alive. I don't know... thats what it seems like to me.
I think it looks cool as hell though and its fun to watch the voltmeter go back and forth and the fact that Angus has one in his rig makes it even more fun I guess. I just love the whole story behind it and I thought these things are not going to be like growing on trees so I had to have one.
Its collecting dust for me right now too (along with my Analog Outfitters Scanner, my new Shin-ei Uni Vibe pedal, and lots of other stuff that in my mind will be in my studio next to my house when I build it and it will be like Willy Wonka's chocolate factory of fun effects and gizmos)
