Does any one have any experience with a peephole camera that automatically records
if some one gets close the the door.

Im getting dizzy with all the choices and most say the doorbell must be pushed but I
want one that comes on with motion detection.

Thanks Jimmy

The easiest solution: Replace your doorbell with a Ring Pro doorbell if you have WiFi.

It has configurable motion detection (you define the area it monitors by easily configuring a curtain-style area), uploads to cloud storage ($30/year - no DVR to maintain -- or protect), and works off your old doorbell transformer (so no batteries).

It has two distinct sounds -- one for motion detection, another for the doorbell. But it also notifies your mobile phone, tablets, etc. with the same sounds in real time so you can look immediately from wherever you are, and even have a conversation with someone. The video is high-res, too -- much better than old grainy security cams you still see in service, and it does have night vision.
