• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Pic below*

It's not the prettiest top, but I wouldn't trade it for the world.

Another great NGD! Looks vintage proper

Touché!! I actually posted this after seeing your NGD post. Your R9 is a beauty too, that's what I was looking for originally then I stumbled on this and got it bc I didn't want anyone else to take it.

That's quite the comedic irony because I was actually looking for a old looking faded top like yours and then I played this one and it was game over. They're kinda like cats these things; you look for the little sweet one and then this ridiculous stray mad barking cat comes along and it chooses you :)

What do you mean not the prettiest top..................I love that top. Very unique.

Thanks.. I said that bc compared to every other NGD, mine missed out on the flame party. You know I was all set to buy this gorgeous R9, but the store employee could see I wasn’t feeling it and pulled this out of the back. Once I picked it up and plugged in, the search was over. Idk what’s different about this one bc they all had the same pickups. Idk, but kudos to whoever built this one, #619 of 2016.

I really like the uneven flame on that top, and as others have said, it really does look vintage. Big flame tops that are perfectly matched don't do it for me, it's just too much. That's what got me going on goldtops which are favorite. But when I see a top like yours I can see myself playing a guitar like that and totally loving it. I guess beauty is truly in the eye of the beholder. And this top carve looks great... http://i67.tinypic.com/35lemjd.jpg

So much going on with the figure & the grain in combination with the color really has a lot of vibe .

Disclaimer , Thats one guitar that won't wreck anyones STONE !

Thanks, the biggest thing is it feels and sounds good and inspires me to make music, what more could you ask for.
