$ 4000 BUDGET for R9: Best holy grail for the buck

In your opinion, for 4000 bucks which R9 should I opt for:

1. A TH so used that it was thrown in a dumpster (used ones dont seem to go under 6k)
2. Standard Historic with a short tenon and Franklin Tite Bond glue in Excellent/Good condition. I'm afraid it could lose its value in the near future because of that.
3. A pre2015 reissue with vintage-correct-length tenon in Excellent/Good condition. Please list best years.
4. Some LP and send to a luthier to make it closer to the original.
5. Wait for the 2018 Carmelita-profile invasion to start and get a Standard Historic (assuming it will depreciate , which i highly doubt it)

OBS:
This is a gift, so no real need to save some hundred dollars, i.e. 4k for a guitar
I have no interest in relic or VOS - I want it with the least amount of scratches and dents.

if you really want an R9 Ishibashi has some nice 2nd Hand R9', you might also want to look at R8 en R0 as they are quite cheaper

Don't focus on model designation or build year so much. Just play some guitars and buy the one you like most.

Regarding #2. There is no such thing as a short tenon Standard Historic. Those are referred to as 50s Style, and yes, they may be hard to sell later on.

It is true, the price/value ratio is best on an R8. However, those are not THs (presuming R8 means not a 1958 TH).

If you can come up with 4000, you have the patience and determination to come up with the rest. Maybe the patience is the hard part.

13 or 14 R8 .....

Standard historics have a long tenon and hide glue. Only the CS 50s style from 2015 don't.
