• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

I had a small accident with one of the pickup rings (neck) on my R8 and I would like to replace it with something more "accurate" to a genuine M69. I am aware of DMC, Throbak & Montreux but I cannot afford their prices. I don't mind buying stock Gibson Historic rings but I also stumbled at a site called 59parts. They seem to carry almost everything for a decent upgrade (for those interested):

Has anyone tried their stuff?

I've never used 59 parts, have you looked at creamtone? They may have rings.

I also ordered aged knobs for my R4 Jaeger project. Very happy with them.

I have use it for a truss rod cover. Great aging and relic work on Gibson parts, but not an historic one!

So it seems that they are stock Gibson parts which are aged by 59parts.
