Burstbucker Pro?

I owned a Korean Epiphone Les Paul which I bought over from somebody else, I was informed that he actually upgraded to BB pros into this Epi. However the pickup sounded so much gain and lesser clarity (IMO) as compared to my Gibson Les Paul Traditional 2016 T 57s classic pickup.
Can anyone clarify for me?

This is a picture of the bridge pickup, the neck pickup has the white stickers but did not has the 'PATENT APPLIED FOR' tag on it.

YEP, that's a BB Pro V.

Without new pots and caps, a pup swap is a mute point, really - for an Epi. (I can't see the pics I'm at work so if I'm talking out my arse I apologize)
