Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!
How do you know if a 2006 Gibson Les Paul Standard Faded is traditionally weight relieved or chambered? I've red Gibson started chambering them during 2006.

If you dig deep enough in the forum search you should find it down to the month.
Unscientific as it may be, but if the guitar is around 8lbs and under chances are it's chambered. More in line with 9 lbs should be swiss cheese.
Both fine guitars. I actually slightly prefer the chambered models. So does Larry Corsa, who is partly responsible for the Standard Faded's popularity.
