• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

What does a protecter Case Gen 2 Look Like?
The Protector Case i Have Is Black
With A Brown interior And a Large Gibson logo and is recessed in a Retangular Opening
Black Background with Raised Silver Letters 6 3/4 Left To Right 4 1/4 up and down

The Gen 2 is the larger of the two and has metal latches.

Ahh.:salude
I'm not sure when the Gen 2 Protector ended, but I've seen them up to 1987..:hmm (IF original)

They are still in the 1984 price list, which I was surprised to find. And they were cheaper than the traditional 535 case.
Next price list I have is 1991 and they were gone.

My 1979 Les Paul Standard had the upper of these two. It was all plastic so it lost one of it´s latches. I think it was red on the inside. There was no color on the logo on the side it was just black. My brothers 1978 Les Paul Deluxe had the same case.
