Historic Select 1954 LP in Violet Silver finish

Unfortunately, if you're a huge fan of pink sparkle (and likely a member of a Cinderella cover band), this one is already taken. Wayne Green took a couple of shots of it for our viewing pleasure just before it was released into the wild. Enjoy....Kevin at Gibson Custom.

I like it! Just wacky enough for my taste!

    Hi there,
just registered with the forum, and I'm excited to have bought the next serial number (HS5 40027) 54 LP P90 Historic Select Silver Violet Metallic via ebay.
The only difference I know from S5 40026 is it has a black pickguard and only 8lb.
It looked very different in the advertised color- lighting, it's a bit of a gamble but I already have my 2000 R7 with a Murphied Gold Top so I'm happy for the difference.
Let's hope this 54 HS is a great player, weighing in at a lightweight 8lb. I'm betting it is.

    Love it!

I remember lusting after a purple Classic in the early 90's. Maybe I still do? nttawwt.

I don't suppose you have photos of the back?

Probably be another week or so before I get it, it's in Australian Customs.

The back is black, like a Black Beauty, with Factory Grover heads, and the Historic Select Switch cover plaque (also comes with a plain switch cover).

    Whoa! Interesting!

Here's hoping customs gets it to you as quickly as possible.

My eyes popped out like slinky's , so cool with the black covers !
He was a sonic disaster, thinking hours of practice would make up for stock pickups, poorly carved top and The wrong glue !
