Locking Guitar Straps for Gibson Les Paul

I just tried doing that today on my "New"
just arrived Custom Shop Chambered '57
Re-issue. The problem is the screws that secured the
original strap buttons are longer and larger.

I can't use the Gibson screws because the head will
stick up at an angle. The heads counter-sink into the top
of the original strap buttons. I need longer screws with a smaller Schaller-friendly
head.

Any ideas?
Ty

Just use a pair of Grolsch bottle washers.
Best simple strap locks out there.

Schaller's for my guitars. Bourbon bottles don't come with those washers. And a piece of toothpick in the hole makes the smaller screw of the Schaller grip just fine.

Yes, You can buy the modified screw and button from Mojoaxe!

http://mojoaxe.com

Just scroll down there pardner! They gets
3 Thumbs Up from Ren™©℉ !

Now you are saying
"But what do I do with the ones that came on the blister pack you idiot jerk guy?".

And my response is to get all butt hurt and call the moderators while crying like a little girl.

Then I respond
"Stick them on a board and screw them on the wall to hang your straps off of you not nice person you!" .

Which is pretty much my answer to everything other than "Do you want pizza?".

Like gibson-r8 said, instead I just chuck a matchstick in the hole.

Thanks,

Uv coarse! On account of I'm a GENUS!

I also bought a 4-pack of Grolsch Beer
so I can try the rubber washer trick.

but for me Schaller's with the new kit from
Mojo Axe will be great. No toothpicks
or match sticks for me!

I've been using Dunlop's straploks on all my guitars for about 5 years now. They've treated me well.
