• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

I got this guitar last week at my local Guitar Center. It reminds me of Frank Zappa's Custom.

Ok, someone had to say it...slight clown content. Buy hey, that's what makeovers are for. So it's good stock.

Beautiful! Mind if I ask how many clams that set you back? I am looking for something very close to that one and am doing research on prices.

Just curious (and minor thread hijack since you're posting this lovely piece :) ) :
Anyone ever found a need or benefit in shielding a cavity on a bucker guitar? Of my LPs and other guits with buckers, all are dead quiet regardless of where I've plugged in. With SC pups, I see it, but have any of you seen the need to do it on your Lesters? Just wondering :)

It's a good question. I haven't noticed a problem with mine. I think the Les Pauls in the era my guitar was made came with a steel cup that that fit over the electronics plate. Some one must have removed the cup when they put in the shielding on this guitar.

I changed the knobs to black and silver reflectors. They look like "Baby Moons".

Yes Reflectors for sure. And, regarding the Burgundy Mist Strat and the Paisley Telly, you obviously are partial for weird coloring. :ganz

How's the weight?
