• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

I saw the man at a demo in Falls Church, VA in '74. My buddy worked their so i got to see him in private and he signed my truss cover with a nail. Still have it on my 68 GT! The guy was a true legend and we owe him a lot of happiness. I'll be playin in his honor!

Challenge:
How did he touch you?

I have already said.
He was the type of man that could dream it up, build it, and not have to brag about it.

Once in a great while someone comes along who's life is impossible to properly eulogize. I'm so glad to have lived during a piece of his time.

That's a start.
No words to describe.
Sometimes the gentlest of men are the biggest influences.
Couldn't imagine Les paying out the knockout punch to a bully!
But to touch the world...that is a whole other story.

I have 5 lester pauls.
4 are with me...today they weep.
1 is still with dave johnson.
I am sure that it weeps as well.

I feel that with each passing year major pieces of our past are
being taken away from us.

Today all of our guitars gently weep.

R.I.P. Les Paul. Great player, Innovator, & inventor of things musicians today take for granted. He's the name behind the best guitar ever!

+1000 jack.
Now we are getting into it.

To be clear, I have not found "mine".
It is out there, somewhere.

94 is a good run. Nothing to be sad about. He probably didn't live as long as he wanted to, but he wanted to as long as he lived. That's something to be happy about. Glad I had the chance to see him play. Glad he graced this planet.
