Hi Emerald, I have been reading many of your posts regarding Gary Moore I wonder if you could help me. In 2007 I had the opportunity to buy one of his amps.
Gak Brighton had 2 JCM 800 1959 MkII 100 Watt heads for sale. one with pencil marks for the amp settings I cheekily asked if they could get Gary to autograph it, which he kindly did.
A few weeks ago I decided to look at the amp and the certificate and to my surprise the it was 12 years to the day that I had bought it. It got me thinking that it is sad that the amp is stored away and that I want to research as much detail as possible to tell the story of the amp.
The amp was used as part of 3 amp set up I think for the After The War Tour (it has the letter R).
It is a 1984 amp that was modded for extra gain by Marshall, with its age I was wondering whether it could be used on the Wild Frontier Tour.
I would be very grateful for any possible information you might have from the era.
Many Thanks
Barry
